Heavy Gunner Talents
Started this game with HG, i love the aspect but...

When you Level up you want to feel stronger with your class right? not gimp yourself.
i dont feel like that With HG, HG its the only class that what Negatives on His talents and the positives simply do not outweight the negatives.

[Talent Lv : 15] =

jamming chance increased , the moment the Onslaught ends or is in CD this trait becomes a Huge Negative trait, buffs are barely noticeable and jamming more is horrible,it will happen when you are in the face of danger the momment you need to shot to survive.

You make a character that have to shoot to survive, he is slow as hell. then give him a mechanic to stop shooting, sure, it increase the onslaugh for 5 seconds. but everyone who start playing HG have in Mind a Heavy dude that keeps and keeps blasting away thousand of rounds, the moment you get in your glory momment, the coolest moment of all... ♥♥♥♥ blocked by Jamming.

Even during onslaught Jamming Is Death Setence, Onslaught makes you move slower, and if you use the Trash Starting weapon o HG even more.. now you're walking really slow while trying to unjam your weapon while alot of enemies shot you, he is not even tanky enought for all that.

i Call This Tallent ♥♥♥♥ Block Talent LV 15.

Option A: Make the Increased Jamming chance only occur when Onslaught is ACTIVE.
Option B: Just Revamp the Whole Tree, Add Some Heat buff/management, fits the class right?
Heavy Gunner who keeps shooting and his weapons gets Alot of Heat, this would fit the class and be really good. 100 ♥♥♥♥ing Rounds for burning steel. [Best Option]

[Talent Lv : 20] =

Just Reached lv 20 with Heavy Gunner was not looking foward to it at all, bounce.. the only thing that did was increase my death rate, not only now i have out heal/lifesteal the damage the enemy is causing to me but now the damage caused to myself.. just why.. You just saw a horde of enemies stacked on a Wall how cool it would be to Firing Squad then against the wall with a gun with 50 Bullets or more? well you're dead now, you killed yourself. Help the class to shot, keep shoting.. not stopping.. why bounce...

I tried to Google a way to deal with that and came in a Peculiar post on reddit[2 Months ago post] of a guy having the Same Issue as me, aside from people bashing HG in the comments , i Noticied a commnet that a guy Left HG the moment he hitted lv 20 and i feel the same way.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Synthetik/comments/g8jmug/heavy_gunner_issues/

Option A: Add Some Penetration Instead of Bounce you're Heavy, So are your bullets.
Option B: More Heat Management to complement Talent Lv 15.
Option C: just Remove bounce, honestly at this stage anything is better than that.

Aside from the horrendous Speed, the Moment i Reached those Boss with Floor Damages, missiles or the Disco Room is the moment i learned that HG is definitly not on Par with Other Classes.
Onslaught is Suicide Against Boss, Onslaught + LG-2 'Onslaught' is Death Setence.
He is not tanky enough to Survive at all even less with those speed penalty. Alot of ther other classes Survive cuz they Have Speed.

Dropping the LG-2 'Onslaught' in the Start of the Game Suddenly made the class alot better. who knew?

Thats my Tip For the New Players.. Drop the LG-2.

Ricochet is the best overt thing about gunner, and the only thing that really gives them a unique identity and that special power-up moment as they level. Really looking forward to getting my gunner back to level 20 again.

Gunner can carry four weapons, so they can carry as many weapons as anyone else and still have the LG-2 if they want it. Dropping it at start is silly.

Also, this is a game of skill... Maybe try not shooting yourself in the face. You know your bullets are going to bounce with gunner. It's up to you to make that an advantage.

I'm a month late to this but as someone who loves HG to death I do like some ideas here, but I also disagree with a few aspects.

Thing I agree on most is the idea of replacing bouncing with penetration since HG's main thing is that he mows down big crowds of mooks and shreds bosses. Bouncing does have its uses in cramped corners when dealing with a really big boy or when the odds are so stacked that it may be a better idea to indirectly attack people around corners, but I've more times just shot myself in the face with this perk more than used those niche strategies and there's no way to flick it off which, honestly, I'd rather do most of the time. Penetration is a lot safer to his health and would make him an absolute monster against onslaughts of goons which is his specialty anyways besides grinding bosses.

What I disagree on is level 15's jamming perk being a bad thing cause, personally, that's one of the favorite things about the class. It makes something bad like jamming and makes it an almost euphoric thing when it happens and you start strategically thinking about it. If it were just "you get a small buff" when you unjam I'd agree but that cooldown reset and elongation of an active onslaught is just magically. HG is the first class I beat Last Guardian with on 140% and the first class I prestiged and I owe a lot to this dumb perk for that, so I think it's fine the way it is.

I think some shaking up of his kit would be fun, maybe some more emphasis on heat and spread managment, but he's still now clown when he's in town and my boo.

There is nothing strategic about the jamming perk - you just jam intentionally all of your backup weapons and hope that the increased jamming chance will not proc while you are engaging the enemy.
