Hunting for "The Final Countdown 200"
Is it a good idea to play on 200% difficulty as a beginner to eventually get this achievement?

It's the best way to learn, for sure.

If you are still learning the game then no. Learn what items do. figure out what terminals do. Find a class you like and invest time in it to unlock powerful passives. Get a feel for active reload. Learn about ammo types and their roles in each engagements. But most importantly have fun. Being ceaselessly overwhelmed is not fun for most people. Synthetic can seem obtuse to the uninitiated and in many ways it is due to its hands off approach. Oh and use any data you collect to buy stuff the data shop when it unlocks.

Overwhelmed is a good word to describe me in SYNTHETIK :( There is so many variables. For now I have only 4h in game, but still don't know how to use items and terminals. Looks like your advice to have fun is the key. Sometimes I try too hard to master the game for 100% achievements.

I have received all of the achievements in the game. And I learned almost exclusively on 220% from the start. Was it overwhelming? Yes! It probably helped me prevent myself from picking up bad habits though. 220% punishes most amateur mistakes so it's very good for teaching yourself to play better. But you will die a lot before you figure things out.

It also depends on what you find fun. For example, I loved playing 220% from the start, and learning through my deaths what I did wrong, and what I could do to improve next run.

But most people do not enjoy this brick wall approach to games. I suggest just playing the difficulty where you are comfortable, learning the core mechanics, and bump up the difficulty once you find it too easy. Work your way up until you can play 200% for the achievements.

also while we're on about difficulty, dont be afraid of fragile. it sounds scary but in practice its pretty not that high impact, plus there is (was?) a bug where you can infinitely stack hp from medchests

I almost beat 4th floor with 200% after 7h of playing. Looks like it's not as hard as I thought, but for sure, the worst is yet to come.
