Slowly but surely. I've never killed it, gotten it to about 40% but that's it. I think the point is to do as much damage as possible before it leaves offscreen. Being able to rapidly kill the summons/turrets helps a lot too.

It is not supposed to be killable, it is drops stuff based on how much damage you deal to it.

Maybe 20 tries, killed it twice. First time i found Uranium 235 early, so radiation melt it. And second time as Heavy Gunner i had LG-2 Onslaught with ammo printing mod, with enough ammo destroyed it in the end.
I understand now, thanks!

Its not actually hard, just get good AMD variant and then get a module which makes your weapon heat level go to 10% after each reload, also would be perfect if you get module which makes you pickup more ammo from all sources and module which makes pauses between shots even smaller, in the end you gonna get OP gun with which you can kill last boss without a single problem

This boss appears too early in the game.
He should have been put in the place of the 4th boss, or at least the 3rd. By the time of the meeting with the second boss, players often simply don’t even have a reliable weapon, if they reached the boss and the players were given a box with a weapon only 3 times and that was a garbage like a nail gun or some kind of gun in a burst variant unable to make anything. And while not a single store with weapons right up till the middle of the military base. Such runs are not so rare, and make up 45 percent of the total mass.

In one run till the military base, not a single store with a weapon comes across and you just have to go through with a pistol. Because the weapon dropped out of 2-3 boxes is weaker than a pistol. In the next run, up to the second level of the loop, not a single store of items came across, so for the whole game there were only 2 more or less useful items dropped from random boxes. And in another run there were 4 weapon shops in a row at the start levels and then about 5 more weapon shops in the future. Well, it's irresponsible already.

It is clear that this is primarily a rogue-like game and the whole point is in the randomness of each passage. But randomness should have its own reasonable limitations so that part of the runs are not obviously doomed to defeat due to the fact that even the minimum reasonable number of weapon boxes or various shops were not caught for the entire run.

And yes, it happens even if you have high levels of scavenger and hight luck. Even this often does not save from strange randomness. It is necessary to establish some minimum allowable number of weapons boxes / weapons stores, which will come across so as not to condemn the player to death without a chance to fight.

The only hardish part of the boss is the pair of vierling turrets about halfway through, since there isn't much cover. Other than that it's just a gear check. Some runs I've easily killed it way before the end, others it escaped with like half health. All down to your sustained DPS, i.e drop luck.

Depends, sometimes you get good modules, but bad variant, sometimes beast variant, but bad modules. Either way for rekting this boss you need only cooling module to get which you have 4 tries.

I've killed the transport a few times. Always using engineer, I just run ahead of the transport and drop my turrets and other items in front of it. They deal with the enemy turrets and then chip away at the transport/other enemies.

So... I kill it with droppables, basically. Wouldn't be able to do it myself otherwise.

A good item for the transport if psy-field, its slows it the heck down very good so you can kill it even before it makes half-way to the exit. And its actually very easy to kill it even without upgraded weapons, just get a power shot and some good items by your preference and a good gun variant again by your preference
