hevc audio sounds like a railgun (heeeeelp, pleeease!)

Yesterday I opened some hevc files in Vegas Pro 14 and they worked totally fine. I even managed to render a little to test it.

But I reopened the project and now the audio's all kinds of screwed up! Does anyone know how to fix this issue???

Also, it seems like a few months ago our GoPro Hero9 recorded in h.264 and there wasn't any issue when viewing them or editing them on Vegas. Since then, however, they changed to h.265 and these are the files giving me issues (though again, they were fine yesterday).

I hope it's okay to leave this up. I found a solution (thanks to the video I'll link).

This guy's quick tutorial is for 15, but it worked for my Pro 14. Anyway, I'm leaving this here in case anyone else experiences the same problem.
