VEGAS Pro 14 Edit Steam Edition

VEGAS Pro 14 Edit Steam Edition

Rendering 1 frame every 10 seconds, might just quit Vegas... : (
This has been driving me crazy. I've tried about a dozen solutions and nothing's worked. The video's less than 6 minutes long. I modified the threads and playback and the GPU usage. I've also prerendered the project. I have no other programs running on my computer (I just opened Steam to appeal to you guys!) and I restarted my computer right before attempting to render. While rendering, Vegas is using 80-90% CPU.

Most attempts, the project will reach 92% in around an hour. The projected time will have reached 0 at this point and just render at the pace I mentioned. At that rate, it'll probably be another few hours at least.

One of the most baffling things about this, though, is I rendered the same project with multiple layers and effects beforehand and it finished pretty quickly. I noticed some errors in the video, so I fixed them before trying to render it again. Other than fixing a couple effects, nothing had changed, so I don't understand why it would suddenly be such an issue.

I'm gonna have to give up on Vegas if this rendering a 5:46 project is going to start taking 5 hours every time.

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you guys so much in advance!

Edit: the rendering has slowed. It's at 1 frame every 30 seconds now. At this rate it's going to take almost ten hours. : (

Second edit: I gave up. I was getting worried about my computer. I decided to test rendering different parts of the video in small chunks. It seems all of the video will render except for the final 5% or so. I brought the render range to about 1 second and even that wasn't rendering. So do you guys have any idea what the issue is and how I can fix it?

give us some details :

Try this test :
import just the Stock Raw footage to the time line.
if vegas asks to match the media to the Project settings
during Import , choose Yes .
Render a small portion of it .
Does this render at a normal expected Speed ?

How many Video tracks are in the project ?
How many video FX effects are in use ?
what is your source footage codec Type and Resolution ?
what is your source footage bit rate ?
( a super high bit rate can slow vegas down )

lots and lots of key framing( animation ) will cause vegas
to render more slowly . ( complex composites slows rendering )

what is the bit rate in the vegas Template settings ?
what render Template and Codec are you rendering with ?
Is the Time Line responsive when you press the Play button ,
using Just the Raw footage imported onto the time line ?
Video Viewer set to "Preview Auto" is usually a good choice .
what are the Vegas Menu "Project Settings" ?
( are these settings the same as your source footage ? )
slso ,
does the Render Tempaplate codec settings match the Project Settings ?

Project Settings using 32 bit will slow down vegas.
Since you are using 8 bit , Project Settings should be set to 8 bit .

It is possible to make vegas rendering more slowly with mismatched Settings .

Every time the Video Viewer updates during rendering , 5 frames have been rendered .

Vegas 14 supports up to 16 threads , i just keep it on 16 ,
while the physical CPU here has 4 logical cores , vegas uses
4 CPU cores .
