just did what its said and it work fine now
I've learned a valuable lesson; never update through a pop-up window.
Make sure you have deleted all of the files in the Vegas pro 14 file. and then try again.

:)
I wish to apologize for the issues and troubles some of us had to go through after installing the last update.
The patch notified in the newsfeed was not meant to be installed on steam versions, in fact the notification took place as the result of a temporary malfunction of the newsfeed service.
We needed some time to identify the source of this issue, but dev- team assured me that by this evening it will be fixed.
For all those that have downloaded the wrong upgrade there are two possible ways to solve this issue.
Both solutions are described in the following thread:

Should you need some help with the steps described in the link mentioned above, please fell free to email us at contactus@magix.net, we will gladly help you out.
Last but not least, I wish to let you all know that the update for Vegas Pro 14 (Steam Version) is been scheduled for the end of this Month :),
Cheers
