How do I event pan/crop multiple pieces of media together as if they were the same image?
I have tried google searching for an hour and a half now and I can't find the results I want. I knew how to do it before, but I've completely forgotten by now.

I do not want to group multiple tracks together, nor do I want to group multiple clips together to move them around on the timeline. I want to group two media together, such as text and a video, and when in event pan/crop, move them around together as if they were the same image.

Please help me, I'm going crazy.

EDIT: I have to parent the tracks, not group them. Oops.

Pan\Crop icon is dedicated to each clip\Event .
The only way is to pan\crop one of the clips ,
Then Copy\Paste those key frame into the other clip's pan\crop dialogue , now both
clips will "track each other" . Mouse drag to select the entire set of key frames
on the key frame time line , easy to do .

The other way , as you were saying , is to Parent\child two tracks , 1 clip per track ,
Now use "Parent Track Motion" , icon at the far left side of "Parent Track Controller".
Not exactly same as pan\crop , but pretty close to the same functionality .
Both clips will move\animate together . A simple multi-track composite ( that's Vegas ) .

If testing with different media clips , be sure to have key frames "Locked to the Track" .
or , if you plan to move clips after key framing , then "Lock key frames" to the clip .

As i have done , test the functionality with a junk project just to see and get the hang
of it ( won't take too much time ) .
Then working on the real project should be easier to do .
