it is still installing .
Video FX plugins . big Red X , while on the Time Line .
not just after render , but on while the Time Line too ,
the Red X is there because Sapphire is NOT activated .
so , Yes , Installing Vegas 16 Pro Suite from Magix website Does
install s_shake .
i am re-launching Vegas 16 Pro , is activated for it's 30 days .
i want to find s_shake inside of Vegas Pro 16 .
1. the best deal package is to purchase Vegas 16 Pro Suite for 400 ( sale price )
.....regular price is 800 .
.....considering what comes with the Suite , 400 is a really good bundle deal . .
2.
Here is the bad part .
to get Boris FX | Sapphire activated for Vegas 14 , will require a purchase
activation key , or an annual subscription .
Here is the really , really bad part . Sapphire is really , really expensive .
It might cost over 500 , or well over 500 . serious big bucks .
( a lot more then the cost of Vegas Suite at 400 )
i know you got a good deal on Steam Vegas 14 , but in view of
Magix web site Vegas Suite sale , 400 is the best deal right now .
i know , 400 is still a lot , but it would have covered it all .
review the list of programs that get installed with Vegas Suite
as shown in the previous post above .
( sshhhh 3rd way ) , maybe , you can wack it .
that will have to be up to you . youtube videos might help .
Vegas 16 Pro Suite is Red X's too , during it's 30 day trial period .
And , according to Sapphire web site , after 30 days ,
the view screen will go Black . No more Red X . Just Black ,
until Sapphire gets activated .
i did just read , some people use Pan\Crop in Vegas
to manually make the "Shake" using key frames .
i have manually Stabilized video using Track Motion .
so sometimes fancy plugins aren't needed . instead ,
apply some elbow grease .
yes ,
manually doing it could take some extra effort .
noting funny about that . it was just another option .
i just read that at the Magix website forum , in the
Vegas Pro forum there about an hour ago .
search with google or search while on youtube ,
for how to "manually shake video" .
1.
manually , to get started , will require a zoom .
FX "Stabilize" zooms too . why ?
so that when the image is slightly panned up\down\left\right ,
the square of the video is never exposed .
use "Pan\Crop" to zoom , then key frame with "Track Motion" to
stabilize or to shake .
2.
Hitfilm sells "Ignite Pro" version 4.x . Ignite is on sale right now for 150 usd ,
directly form Hitfilm website . It has "shake" . i just tried it in Steam Vegas 14 .
it pretty much does the same thing as s_shake .
In fact ,
Magix Vegas 16 Pro Suite comes bundled with Hitfilm's "Ignite Pro" .
Ignite is part of the Vegas Suite .
For 150 usd you can get it any way , to avoid doing a manual shake .
go to
Hitfom's web site and download "Ignite Pro" version 4.x to test it .
yes , it will have a water mark . But that's ok .
Test the shake functionality of it . if you like
what you see , then pony up 150 to activate it .
Ignite Pro comes with about 158 plugins , for 150 usd .
getting Ignite Pro ( 150 ) cost a lot less then adding Sapphire ( more then 500 )
Vegas Suite at 400 usd ,...is the best deal in town .
when Vegas Suite is installed , "Ignite Pro" version 2.x is also installed .
Thus , Ignite Pro 2.x should be un-installed , and
install version 4.x from Hitfilm's web site .
i have made a manual stabilize , similar to the Vegas FX Stabilize .
( Veges FX Stabilize zooms too , it has to . there is no choice )
i zoomed in a bit , using Pan\Crop . Then in Track Motion , i would
advance the Play Head and re-position y , back to the same height .
and repeat . ( i was only stabilizing the Vertical ) ,
not necessarily every frame . skipping frames as needed ,
to get to the next major spot .
i did make a black-white image as a Guide , to help me more quickly see
where re-position the video at each key frame ( kind of a mask.png )
when making the shake , to help choreograph the shake , maybe a mask.png
image with white dots , to show where the shake is to progress , to aid
in positioning x y coordinates of each key frame . ( just a thought on the
shake mask.png . i never tried using a shakeMask.png image ) .
i just free-hand it , until the shake , shook good .
Actually i did make a shake . forgot about that . i had an explosion thing
going on , so i needed a screen shake . It was lots of key framing ,
every frame of video had a key frame in Track Motion
( each key frame is an x y position adjustment )
Even for 2 seconds of "Shake" that could be
60 key frame adjustments , assuming the video is 30 FPS .
It can be tedious .
Use Pan\Crop , which is on the Event\clip itself , to zoom in , about the amount of
10 % to 20 % "Safe Area" . Next in Track Motion . play with track motion , moving
x y independently , to get the feel of it , to see how far a left\right\up\down\diagonal
you can move , before seeing the boundary of the Video's perimeter .
If you need more or less shake movement , re-size the zoom amount as needed
in Pan\Crop .
you will need to have an idea of the kind of shake that you want . i was doing a fast
shake , because of the explosion , i believe i key framed every video frame for
at least 1 second . That was at least 24 Track Motion x y adjustments . i was
using 24p FPS . Each track motion adjustment is then a key frame in the
Track Motion Dialogue .
i think i'm rambling .
Get the zoom done in Pan\Crop ( that's the easy part ) .
In Track Motion dialogue , i did a lot of ( x y adjustment then play back )
to see how it moves . Very iterative . i got a rough looking shake motion . .
Then had to go back and redo those key frames many times to refine the shake .
( to refine the Shake is to re-position x y coordinates of an existing key frame )
It can take a while . maybe a few days ,...a week ? , to get a good looking
explosion shake of about 1 to 2 seconds .
Be sure you are on a key frame when re-doing x y positioning . For me ,
if on a new Video frame , any new x y settings will drop a new key frame .
Thus i have inadvertently made new key frames that that i did not want .
It was to replace an existing key frame . so be careful on that .
( if you end up key framing every fame of video , then every frame of video
will have a key frame )
When done , be sure to save the .veg project . And inside of Track Motion ,
all that key framing can be saved as a "Preset" for re-use .
After saving the Preset . find that Preset file on your drive and
back that up too , to USB drive or CD .
you can then reuse that shake in any future Vegas project .
