Seem to be crashing while building peaks.

Ive been plodding along just fine, noticed a bit of slowdown when saving work and adding files as vegas processes them but today it just freezes as soon as i try and add a vile to the project media section and fails to progress beyond 0%

I have tried checking my drives health and seem to pass any tests, ive checked firmware and updated any managment software for ssd's

Made sure I have plenty of spare space on my hard drives.

Cleared steams download cache which included a load of hassle re logging into steam.

Relaunched multiple times.

Tried testing with different files.

Anyone else had any similar issues and any fixes, I just want to get something edited in the limited spare time I got so any help will be totally appriciated.

Also tried defragging my mechanical drives and also reinstalling vegas, still frozen until it crashes.

I have the same bug. Sony Vegas 14 buid 211 and try buid 270... also program freezes when I press the play button.
An error occurred after updating Windows 10 (last update). After restoring Windows 10 from the control point - the error disappears. Then I do the system update again and get an error.

Ive found vegas will now build peaks for other files besides the one I want to work on so am re processing the file into an mp4 and see if vegas likes it more now, if that fails i will check my build and try and switch as you say. thanks for your reply.

disabling the compound plugs fixed my issue, just a heads up, theres plenty of videos online. thanks agian for the reply and i hope this thread helps if anyone else has the same issue.
