Merger 3D

Merger 3D

This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important
Some game information.
* The game runs in old Windows OS, but Steam is not
* The game is created on standarts of beginning of 1990's, and that's why:
- it has funny system requirements for 2016 year
- it doesn't use 3D accelerator
- it can't run in HD resolutions
- it uses a limited color palette (Operation Bodycount, 256 colours)
- awesome midi music tracks (Thanks a lot to Jimmidies)
- you can use mouse, but you can't look up or down (no need to use it in gameplay)
- one ammo type for every gun (but every gun has it's own ammo reserve)
- the movement is very fast, strafe running is available
- the game is not accorded to storyline, but accorded with gameplay.

Any info on controller support? I mean it's 2D game, should be pretty fine with controller.

- There is no controller support for this time. Maybe, I will add it later.

Nice one!
Watched the gameplay video and my "Wolfenstein 3D"-heart was very happy to see something like this! :D
Also the music > excelent! (for what I could hear so far)
But I just saw it's start-text and the beginning of the first level, so, are there difficulty-options and a level-select later on? :)
Edit: Or an option to disable the crosshair (it really isn't needed for such a game. ^^).

Thank you for positive feedback! Difficulty level is not customisable. But every level is more difficult then previous. If you like hardcore - the last levels will give it to you. :) But first levels are will be easy, maybe. Just try it once. :) Then you can post a comment about difficulty of the game. How it was for you. About crosshair... It's a pity but you can not switch it off. I can switch it off in the next updates if it is really important. Thank you once more! :)

No need for thanking me, I'm just glad that these games aren't dead. :)
I also could not believe it's that cheap. o.O
I'll surely buy it tomorror (managed to have absolutely no money on my bank account ^^").

And about the crosshair, it's not THAT important, but I think. it's only needed for 3D-games where you have to aim really specific to shoot at different bodyparts instead of holding the enemy in the middle of the screen, so the crosshair is just a little sign in the middle. ^^

Can't wait to play it and I'll surely give you my feedback. :)

Game looks awesome I love the nostalgia, brings me back to blood, blake stone, wolfenstein etc, only question I have is: how can i bind a different shoot button other than the left mouse button for example CTRL? for some reason the mouse moves insanely quickly.

It's a pity but it is impossible for this moment. I'll try to fix it in updates. The game engine is very specific and you can only set sounds and music volume. Other settings are not available for now. But I have an idea...

Sounds good mate see what you can do becuase the game looks really cool, like you said these games should never die (I only wish I could find a way of running total distortion) thanks for the reply and I look foward to the update buddy

You are welcome!

-it can't run in HD resolutions

That's just absolutely dumb, and a deal breaker. Any game that runs on lower res in modern screens(anything but a CRT) looks like ass, blurry as hell, and the black bars on the sides are super distracting, that's the worst part, the aspect ratio. I could actually tolerate a lower res but I simply cannot get over the black bars. Was going to buy this game, would have payed full price right away and even more, say usd$5. But after knowing this, I just can't now.

No. This game is made on C++ library.

Boss? Where? Haven't seen one.

I would sign the thing that I don't have to use a mouse at all if possible. :)

But I have a little problem. ^^"
The sound is Mono (I think?) and every time the enemy spots me and starts shooting, I have problems to find them, cause the shooting-sounds come every time from the same direction.
