Looking into this issue. Could you give me some information on your specs, including your operating system?
Other PC specs: 2 GHz dual core, 2 GB RAM, and an Intel 965 card (384 MB shared).
It's not such a big deal if I can't get the game to run on my XP PC, but perhaps you are able to fix the issue without investing a lot of work?
Today I installed the game on a modern Win10 PC, and it works fine. Except that it's alerting my firewall (the game is trying to connect to a Steam address - outbound). I'm not sure why this is the case, and why the game itself doesn't tell me. The game works even when I block the attempt. But if an outbound internet connection is not required for the game to function, why is the software trying to create it in the first place? What data is it trying to transfer to Steam?
This does appear to be a Windows XP issue, as others have reported the same. Our previous games were made with the RPG Maker VX Ace engine, which does support XP, but this one has been made with RPG Maker MV which for some reason gives you that peculiar audio-related error when you try to load a game on XP.
It may be possible to fix in a later update as I don't think there's any reason it shouldn't run on XP. If so, we'll update the minimum system requirements to reflect that.
The firewall popup likely has something to do with the scripts we're using for Steam achievements, although it's never caused any alerts for me.
Would be nice if I could play the game under XP.
The firewall alert is also new to me, and it hasn't come up when I played your other games. Looks like an attempt to obtain whatever data from my PC, spyware with other words. The target address is gds4.steampowered.com - perhaps you wish to check those scripts?
Steampowered.com is just the website on which the data for Steam achievements is set up and stored, so there doesn't seem to be anything nefarious going on there. It shouldn't be necessary to cause a firewall alert, though.
