PITCH-HIT ARCADE

A couple of suggestions
Hello, just had some quick thoughts after playing the full game for a bit.

First, I would love if the button to move the self-pitch bucket was the side grips instead of the trigger, because the most annoying thing in the game is reaching for a ball in the bucket and accidentally moving the whole bucket around, spilling balls everywhere.

Also, if you intend to continue to add content to the game, it would be cool to have home run derby type of a mode. There's the distance game already in there, but that is for hitting into specific distance ranges. I want to just let loose and swing for the fences!

Thanks for your work on the game, I hope things are going well for you.

thanks for the input....the distance level was originally just that. we originally planned for the distance level as-is to be an alternative field to choose between. We decided to make it a distance range as we thought having an online leaderboard showing who could hit it the farthest would not end well or be reckless on our part. (cut to: guy 3 beers in trying to impress some friends and throws out his arm) with that said...you can hit HOMERUNS in catch...and if u dont make it...u just have to catch the ball. With that said we'll add that to the notes, and revisit it once we start adding new levels.

I think there is a flaw in the game mechanic. You should not make the user squeeze the side buttons to activate the bat. It gets tired for squeezing and then swinging. When you're holding the controller, you're essentially holding a bat...there is no reason to make user squeeze the side constantly to activate the bat. The bat should ALWAYS appear all the time without squeezing. Squeezing should be an option to get rid of the bat...not activate it.

hi there thanks for the reply..we have it designed this way so people don't throw the controller which we've seen happen a lot during conventions and play testing. Keep in mind you don't need to squeeze it very tightly and you don't need to squeeze both sides simultaneously. Just holding one side down slightly will spawn the bat. EDIT: we will look into adding a grip setting where you can choose which way works best.

Hi, have you seen the thread about the demo not downloading? Are you working on getting it fixed?

yes we've re-submitted it to steam as there was a conflict with one of our other DEMOS, they are preparing for their convention that is happening today and the following days but said they will address it eventually.

we've since listed an alternative link on a reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/56c7j9/we_listened_to_your_feedback_and_we_made_our/

There's another baseball game that that is stadium based and involves a pitcher throwing the ball and you have to knock it as far as you can for high points - it's good and stadium lively but could be better - maybe it's something you could implement; I ended up playing an hour solid of that game. I've only played your game for 20 mins - it's good game but maybe you should make the stadium style game as well, as your game uses better graphics and you're more active.
