Handwoven cloth is the third tier of cloth material that you can synthetize and giant is one of the modifiers that you can transfer from ingredients at the end of the crafting.
There are many requests that work like that so it's helpful to remember how it works.
I don't think I encountered that quest so maybe double-check the wording since the giant trait doesn't exist in this game.
And here I thought I had mostly finished this game.
A screenshot of the quest's description screen would probably help figure it out if you can't do that on your end.
Sorry, you are correct. It's the jumbo trait I'm looking for. I looked into it more and know what I have to do, but the issue is finding items with the jumbo trait that I'm having a hard time with.
The quest says, "Hmm, windmill repair, huh? When it's that big, the cloth needs to be big enough to match the size, right? Ok, let's do our best to prepare a really large handwoven cloth!" The hint below it says, "Let's bring jumbo size handwoven cloth to that man!"
You can transfer the trait to an intermediate item (something that is an ingredient for other recipes) and after a while you will have an item you can use for the recipe you need, with the trait.
You can always go from the item you want and check what items that can be crafted can be used for it and track it down their ingredients until you find the right one.
If you are in the post-exam part of the game then you should have collected items from a lot of places so go to your storage and use the search function to see if you have any item with that trait (it's likely that you have at least one on an odd item in there).
I searched for the jumbo trait in one of my saves:

As long as you transfer the Jumbo each time you will be all good.
