Things to do after the exam, flying broomstick and stuff

Please someone tell me if I'm missing something important. These are what I found... but I may have missed something for myself, and since there're no guides around, I'm not too sure.

For those who are lost about what you can do...

First of all, do not go into your atelier at all while finishing up the events in Ertona. Afterwards, you can just let your LP run out or die in battle to teleport to Reisenberg. Not too important, but it's a nice little trick.

If you've already placed down your atelier somewhere else after the exam, no biggie. It's only several minutes that you lost... Just make sure to stop by Faave Hills for gravistones.

Talk to Sophie & Plachta behind the exam building to get them for your party.

Now what you'll want to do is get a flying broomstick, named the Sky Flicker in the game.
What you need to get the recipe idea is harvest gravistones to complete a quest.
-if you teleport to Reisenberg, you can do this in North/South Auoro Snowfield, in the caves
-if you started at Ertona, the closest place to get these is at Faave Hills, at the giant rocks

Next, I recommend progressing Meklet & Atomina's sidequest.
They eventually lead you to making an airship, giving you new areas, and more importantly fast travel between maps! Yep, it's super convenient.

Can't remember exactly where, but I first met them on a field, where they said they're heading to Weisslark. If their quest doesn't trigger, you may want to go give Weisslark a visit.

They should visit you in your atelier after the exam, requesting you to make them an Elixir of Laawe. You may not have a Worm Fish required to make one, but you can buy these at Ren's atelier in Flussheim. You can then find them at Weisslark. They'll then keep visiting you at your atelier, requesting more materials, and eventually give you a quest to make a ship.

And after that... there's not much left that will make your game more convenient. So do things in whatever order you want. Sidequests, bosses, ultimate item synthing, completing maps, maybe some other things.

Only notable thing is that Ren's sidequests in Flussheim leads you to creating air drops, allowing to go underwater, and the 5 licensed alchemists now sell stuff.

Do you know the names of the quests Ren has that lead to the air drop? I've completed her quests "Ren's Hard Fight 2" and "Ren, are you mad?" but I haven't been able to get any other quests from her to my knowledge. If I talk to her she just says "We need to find a way to get to the root of that waterspout problem". I have already completed the airship as well, so I would've thought it would appear by now.

Huh, weirdly enough after completing a certain Liane boss quest that I had sitting in my backlog a bunch of my friendship related quests triggered and Ren's quest did as well. I'm not sure if that quest was blocking others or what, but I guess it's fixed now.

Hi I just got the airship but for some reason I’m not sure if I ever actually got the quest for the broomstick...not sure if I have to do something before getting it ? (I did complete the exam a couple days ago)..wasn’t sure if you’d know why I didn’t get it or not QQ

once you leave the home town and you(i think at favehills) get a quest out of nowhere to collect some round blue rock thingies then get the recipe to make the broom after completing the quest.

Yes that’s common. Liane story blocks a lot others.
