Alchemy Level at max, but still too low for Philosopher's Stone?

Haven't beaten the game yet, just thought I'd finish a few recipes before the final boss.
So I reached Alchemy Level 50, and can't level up anymore. But I can only create Philosopher's Stones with reduced Quality because they need 9 more levels. Is this intended?

Yep its intended its fine just make the stone as it is. And make sure to make it before you fight the final boss

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll do that right away. I actually tried the boss once, but got stomped immediately, so I'm back to getting decent gear anyways, I guess.

Actually I fought him without it, and still won. Is there a particular reason why I should have made it before the final boss eleventh?

Nah theres just a small scene that plays if you made it before fighting the final boss and an achievement i think. I dunno if that scene plays if you made it after the final boss since a lot of people at the time suggested i do it before fighting the final boss so yeah >.<

There's an achievement for it before the final boss? Well ♥♥♥♥! I don't have a back up save, plus even after the final boss my alchemy is only like lv 41/42. I don't have a good way yet to boost it up to the prerequisite 45 needed :P

Do I seriously have to redo the entire game for that one achievement? That is very frustrating.

There are actually 2 achievements that can only be gotten before defeating the final boss . The one i mentioned above which should be called A Challenge from Plachta and another one which is Monika On Stage an seeing that you're missing both........welll uhh yeah........

Well good luck to hours of grinding and talking to Monica if you want perfect achievement then lol

Monika is the rapier girl right? Good freaking gravy, that will be painful. I couldn't seem to get any of her character events for some reason during the story. I got 100 affection on everyone besides Monika and Oskar by endgame, where I was on the final Oskar event, and Monika... was stuck at 45. Good bloody grief I was unable to find the trigger past that.
