Don't know much about you guys but I'm pretty much more fan of Mana-Khemia series, PS2 era. Still playing it from time to time and I hope these series make it into Steam one day.

Mana Khemia is great but i still like the Atelier series more. As do the fans it seems. There was no new Mana Khemia in nearly 10 years.

Mana Khemia was good too, It would be great if they rebooted that series.

Mana Khemia is part of the Atelier series.

Its in the same world but i dont count it as a main game in the series., more like a spinoff.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Gust supposed to own the Atelier series? Or does Koei Tecmo own Gust? I'm out of the loop here.

GUST was bought by Koei Tecmo a few years ago. They still exist as a seperate studio under Koei and Koei Tecmo is now responsible for publishing their games in the west.
I haven't played Shopie yet. Until now my ranking is: Ayesha > Meruru > Totori >>>>> Shallie > Rorona > Iris 2 > Iris > Mana Khemia > Escha to Logy > Mana Khemia 2 > Iris 3.

I hope older Ateliers come to Steam someday. And Ar Tonelico / Ar noSurge too :D.

You are wrong on both accounts. It's not in the same world as other subseries at all, but it is part of the Atelier series.

I can only hope that you never played Rorona+, and that's why Rorona is so low. Aside from that your list is fairly agreeable.

I stand corrected.

Yeah, from those mentioned Rorona+ would definitely be my favorite.

I never played any of these. Are they stand alone games like "Tales of" or are they connected?
Shylaar Feb 7, 2017 @ 7:04pm
There are several other threads on the subject already, but since you can't be bothered looking at them: The Atelier franchise has several subseries which are each in the same world and share characters and gameplay mechanics. Each new subseries has a new setting and changes up the gameplay. Sophie is the first game in the Mysterious subseries, so there's no connection to previous games.
