Set the settings you want in launcher, save, set resolution in registry then launch game.
Or you can set all settings in registry, dof of 0 is off.
Requirements: Win8,10.
we are going to create a registry entry that tells Windows to run Atelier in Borderless Fullscreen
open regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Direct3D\Shims\MaximizedWindowedMode
rightclick, create a new 32bit DWORD, and name it the path of the Atelier game, example:
D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Atelier Sophie The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book\A17.exe
set hex value, 1 for borderless fullscreen, 0 for true fullscreen. This is how it should look: http://imgur.com/a/MqkjS
Applied it and it doesn't crash on task switch anymore(not that i did that anyway). In fact i guess you can force any not particularly nitpicky game to run in borderless(or fullscreen) this way. ( This is a reverse fix from.. FF13.. this game truly brings out the worst in people (source)

Edit: and proof that the 2D assets are ~720-800p

Your modded dinput8.dll file saved the game for me because my OCD couldn't deal with the menu lag.
Thanks a lot. You really know your ♥♥♥♥.
Thx. It works! :D
