Well, many things on screen doesn't just force the GPU.It's also affecting the CPU as well but with not even a 2 GHz CPU on the basic PS4, it's going to drop frames. The CPU's in both PS4/Pro are weak.So the 2.3 GHz CPU in Pro actually manages that better. It's been proven with Nier Automata.Go check Digital Foundry. Both versions drop the same frames in the Demo's boss fight.
At PS4 graphics they can.If you keep immitating the settings of the console version and if the console version is 30 fps, then if you set it to 30 fps you can still play it like a PS4.Budget builds with I3's can do a bit more than a PS4.Check it.Pretty much anyone beats PS4's or Pro's CPU these days. It's the GPU that makes the console pull things off but sometimes games that are open world, cannot just get away with it with a good GPU.So the CPU also takes place.
Agree. Some games just like to render on top of real 4 cores than seperated ones the I3 provides with.
pro tip : ignore him
^^
Yeah, it seems to run at """""60""""" FPS in the Pro:

But you don't know what is going on to cause that, I mean, maybe the GPU is really at 100% load or close to that in a lot of situations and the drops are due to the GPU itself, but maybe this is not the problem at all. Maybe the GPU is at 50% load or even lower than that most of the time but these jackas*** at Gust are using one single core of the potato AMD CPU to do absolute everything so that core IS at 100% load most of the time and the drawn instructions can't be delivered to the GPU fast enough.
Because almost every single Intel and AMD desktop CPU will have a lot more of performance per core, this hipotetic problem, even if it's not corrected at all, should be a lot less troubling.
In other words...the CPU holds back everything.Equivalent CPU for the Pro is an AMD Athlon 5350 at 2.05 GHz.Source of that is here:
https://www.pcgamesn.com/amd/pc-vs-ps4-pro
If i compare that to my 2nd gen I5 CPU, this happens:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1223?vs=363
Not to mention that i OC'ed mine at 3.6 GHz as well.So yeah. Most games today probably lag even in Pro because of that Low-End Ultrabook CPU.It's like coupling up an old Phenom II X2 Dual Core at 3.1 GHz with an RX 480.That's how much unbalanced these consoles are.
EDIT:I was curious to test my previous builds CPU against that one Pro has as equivalent.Lo and behold. That Phenom II X2 that i mentioned was my previous CPU like 6 years ago.Take a look:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1223?vs=97
Dual core Phenom is on par with Pro's CPU.A CPU that was worth 80 euros back in the day and in most countries, it doesn't even exist anymore.Unless if you use Ebay to order one for 50 euros or less. That's how much worth Pro's CPU has in performance terms.
I hated that we can't play ps3 or vita games in ps4, there is no backward compatibility and this is the most retarded thing on consoles.
I wanted to have the entire Atelier collection cuz I'm a huge fan of this series, i got all their books, but it's impossible because PlayStation have no backward compatibility, so i just gave up on that. I'll be collecting all ateliers on Steam, and hoping to see they releasing all the older ones as well.

I don't think it's the GPU.Supposedly it's a strong GPU and it stands between an RX 460/470 so that makes 470 to be a notch better, than what Pro has in there. At this point anyone can tell which hardware causes the drops.

PS4 is full 30 but then when it switches to Pro it's above 30 clearly, but look at the little stuttering and lag on screen. The motion breaks a bit and it gets jerky.Take a good look at the very last moment before he stops moving the camera on Pro.It's above 30 but not exactly 60 as well.If it lags like that on Pro which is a supposedly optimized game for it, and in such a small indoors area like that, no wonder why the lag is bigger while traveling with the broom.
nope.
source: my spare i3
you ever wondered why 970 users always whine about """optimization""" in games? because 3.5gb vram isnt enough.
You're kidding me.Normally I shouldn't have bothered answering to you but here's how it goes.I mentioned copying PS4 graphics and frame rate (in case your card is weak).I'm not talking about maxing out games for this one.Anyway.In Uplay I have Watchdogs 2.I have a 3GBs card which is a bit less than what 970 has.I know that my card can't exactly do 60 fps even on all Medium. So I changed it to 30 fps locked and not only I surpassed the console graphics, but I managed to have extra room to go almost maxed out with a 3 GBs card, and hold some fine 30 fps.Of course if you have a card that you know that it can't max out games because of vram, then asking for it, its the same thing as being selfish. Then you don't even have the right to complain. As for me, I far surpassed the console targeted graphics AND got some nice 30 fps console style frames.
As for I3's.Digital foundry and other famous sites and reviewers, do prove that a decent I3 coupled up with a RX 470 can actually best PS4/pro.After all RX470 is one notch above what pro has in there. Both specs are beyond Pros performance.Won't bother again cause you clearly didn't research much.
this guy just trolling, maybe he/she just hate pc as gaming platform
