Announcement - Anti-virus false positives with "assembly-csharp-firstpass.dll"

All,
A few people are reporting that their anti-virus is quarantining a required dll file within the game.
This seems to be a long standing issue with many other unity games, and as such we can't change it. The only work around is that -

you must add an exception/ignore through your anti-virus

In some cases: anti-virus software may even prevent the download and installation of the game. So it is recommended that you add both the game directory, and the steam download directory to your exceptions list.

Since all anti-virus programs are different, I cannot specifically tell you how to manage yours. However, I can point you to where the files are, and you can add them to your exceptions as needed.

• When downloading the game through steam the file will be (default) located in "Steam/SteamApps/downloading/527230/FTK_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll"
• Once installed: the file will be (default) located in "Steam/SteamApps/common/527230/For The King/FTK_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll"

not p[urchased yet, but i can say an easier way (rather than trying to dfind the offending file) - at least for AVG - is to set the entire folder (of the gamme and/or DL) as the exception/s

(thanks for this post - minimizes my issues if i buy - which i am seriously thinking of doing when i get paid next week :) )
