Stuck at startup loading screen
I just played the game again after not touching it for maybe a good 5 or so months now. I played the game and it kept getting stuck at the loading screen when you start the game up. I clicked hte continue button but nothing happened.

Any one else has this issue or know a way around it? If nothing can be fixed I guess I will just uninstall the game then.

So after looking everywhere, I couldn't find a fix but I did manage to fix it by launching another game and having the same issue, only it told me what the problem was. Apparently, if your game crashes, it can corrupt your vcruntime140.dll. An easy fix is to download the driver from:
https://www.sts-tutorial.com/download/vcruntime140

Then you just restart your PC and it should be up and running again.

Just to clarify, this is a fix for the Epic Games Launcher version.

Still don't work :/ some more Ideas for Epic?
in my case problem fixed after install latest version visual c++

There is a FTK_FORCE_D3D9.bat file in the folder where the game is installed. Run it, and see if it makes work. You might have to open the bat and edit the path to match that of your system.

I'm having a similar issue and ive deleted the game and registry and reinstalled and nothing seems to work. Anything else we can try to get past the intro screen?

What finally fixed was me getting Windows 10. I believe it was an issue with the older OS of Windows that was causing a problem with the game.

So far nothing has been wrong with it since then.

Have you checked your graphic card and see if something might of changed or need to be updated?

Turns out it was a corrupted database, found out by going to the output file in the save location in AppData, to fix it I just started the game and deleted the database file so the game could build a new one, working fine now.

The only way to fix this is to let the game re-build it. To do that, please follow these instructions:
1) Locate the player.db file in: C:\Users\USERS\AppData\LocalLow\IronOak Games\FTK\save\steam### where ### is your steam id
2) Start the game
3) Immediately alt-tab and delete the player.db file
4) Return to the game - it will rebuild the database file, and it should no longer be corrupt.

This is exactly what one of the devs sent me while I was trouble shooting. Hopefully it helps.

Unfortunately, all I can suggest is to go to https://ironoakgames.com/contact-us/ and seek help. I wouldn't know where to begin on epic, sorry I cant be of more help.
