Speed build?

For a while now we've been building 'standard' parties with a strength character, an awareness character and an intelligence or talent character for magic damage.

Wondering what it's like trying to build a character around the speed stat, given that there's plenty of speed equipment out there.
Any recommendations?

Hunter is the fastest. If you don't get speed equipment you can always give them awareness items instead.

Speed/Speed/Speed builds do exist, and they can be pretty effective. Usually a bit lower damage, but they attack very frequently.

Hunter, Trapper, and Gladiator are the fastest, with Hunter taking the top.

it's interesting finding these weird weapons for Speed and even Vitality as main stats

Yeah, a decent number of items, especially with the new DLC, use speed as their main stat. Fewer use vitality, but they typically are piercing and work very well with the Blacksmith.
