Party Cleanse

The Water Tome has the ability "Cleanse".
Can somebody explain me what it can cleanse?

New-ish, but basically status effects. So, Shock, Wet, Burn, Acid, Poison... I think debuffs like speed down, attack down too. Not curses, though.
