Cannot run the game - Failed to initialize Direct3D.
I run all other games. I have windows 10, DirectX12, GTX 970m with latest drivers. Reinstalled game using steam. What else can be done?

The game requirements show directX 9.0c. You may need to install that version to get it to work. If your system is a clean build of windows 10 that may also add to the missing codex possibility.

Isn't directx12 compatible with directx 9?
