Save Deletion on Game Over

I saved/quit, then resumed the game and my entire party died shortly afterward... went to resume from the point I had saved only to find my save was gone? I even checked the save folder and there was only the Lore data. I had gotten pretty far in the game and was rather upset that all my progress was suddenly gone, despite having saved the game. There should be some sort of toggleable option for this sort of permadeath, for those of us that really dislike it.

I understand this is a typical roguelike mechanic, but that doesn't mean it can't be optional... any concern/argument over "save scumming" is moot when there's respect for how others choose to spend their time.

Once the party dies it's game over right now.

You can make a copy of the save game folder after playing for awhile. Then if you wipe just rename the save back to the default and carry on.
