My foolproof Frost adventure strategy
I'm still bad at this game (Can't beat journeyman or higher on anything except frost adventure) but surprisingly I think I have a strategy that should be nearly 100% foolproof even on Master. Am testing it now and see no reason why it won't since I absolutely WRECKED journeyman (had like 30 godsbeards left, not a typo lol I maybe used 2 the whole game, even counting the final dungeon)

Party--
Hunter-hunter-monk

Monk is a god-mode combination with hunter-hunter when you note the gun strategy I use... because every time discipline procs that means another free gun shot... also with party heal you don't have to worry about RNG screwing you and not finding a +party heal item. I used to like herbalist but not anymore. +gather herbs is overrated imo. Focus is king in this game, as is speed, so anything that gives you focus or speed = win.

So far guns + hunter remains my favorite strategy in this game out of everything I have tried, not just on frost adventure. Having first strike (due to speed) and the insane power of guns is just sooo good. The single target ones generally have pierce which means you laugh no matter their resistance levels. Plus, I'm not a fan of RNG missing. Even if you have shock, you can still get perfect hits due to focus and no worry about 2,3,4,5 sequential hits in a row which I have the worst luck I always fail 3+ attacks.

Key points
-- Stay in noob island until you're level 5+ (Yeah it's boring, but trust me worth it) do not finish all the quests here. You'll note that scourges do not start appearing until you progress... so you have infinite time...
-- Get exp, money, and buy EVERYTHING (I am a hoarder), including anything good from any night markets
-- Never waste a godsbeard. If you need a heal either try to hold off till level up or just rest at a town. It's only 5 gold.
-- Enemies don't level past 1 so you can start sending units out separately, but on master this may not be a good idea even so.
-- BUY ANY GOOD GUNS asap. You will want a good AOE gun on one hunter and a good single target pierce gun on the other.
-- Hunter plus guns = god. Trust me. Even with having to reload, with their speed they are amazing. Just make sure you keep up focus as much as you can so you never have to worry about RNG missing. As long as you keep their speed 80+ and even 90+ if you can, they often can kill 1 or 2 enemies before they even get a single turn off. Yes, even end-game. Avoiding damage is KING. This is how I avoided using many godsbeards. I had golden gun on one guy with 59 attack and I forget the name of the other gun but 51 damage pierce gun also. They were almost gods, anything they fought just died. with the head shot attack I could sometimes crit for well over 100 damage... absolutely critical for killing off dangerous enemies FAST like acid jellys, owlbears (Not risking their death mark attack) etc... I almost one hit killed a 140 hp owlbear one time lol plus since you are hunters usually you can hit stuff before they even get one hit. Very satisfying. Guns truly are so good... Reloads can be annoying, but by the time both hunters have shot their guns often times one or two guys or dead or at least one is critically hurt and then your third guy can finish it off. Doing the level 4 town missions at level 9-10 was funny, I think I one shot killed all 3 guys one time. Sucks to be those noobs lol.
-- I also buy using things like jewelery with distraction, encourage etc...
-- Once at the main island, I found out the enemies level up in difficulty as you clear towns seemingly, so make sure you are 2+ levels ahead of the enemies before proceeding so it is super easy, even ideally 3+. I don't like taking unnecessary risks. Same with caves.
-- Buy every tinder pouch you can, use them smart (like put one just before a cave, full heal up, finish cave, heal up again), do the same when you're gonna fight a hard scourge or a hard fight or two. make sure to save at least 4 tinder pouches for the final dungeon tho. Then again none of the scourges were hard... everything just got wreckd by my hunters lol
--Other than that just grind smart, don't waste godsbeard unless you have to, buy EVERYTHING from all the towns (all herbs, you never know when you might need something, ESPECIALLY the +focus herbs and DO NOT WASTE THEM. save them all for the final boss you won't need them anyway because you'll be 3+ level ahead of everything generally)
--If you played smart the final dungeon should be a faceroll except the boss. Put your +attack gear and volcano hat (+100% to frost) on your strongest damage dealer. Equip all your special fire weapons on floor 4 prior. Use tinder pouches to get full focus up, distribute all your focus herbs among the party.
--Buy the +100% damage items but save them for final boss. Equip confusion resistance for boss. Also carry rums while you're at it.
--Now for the fun part. This boss is actually sooo easy lol. Always use strongest attacks and focus to get 100%. Use a hildebrant potion before and laugh as you pop some amazing 3 digit hits. I've done nearly 200 damage in one hit. You will probably kill him before you even have to heal ONCE. I didn't use a single godsbeard on the dragon (on Journeyman difficulty, Master is up next, I am quite confident with how easy journeyman was). Enjoy laughing at him while he hits you for measly 20-30 damage meanwhile you're hitting him for close to 200 at times.

Just beat master first try. Not that hard except I almost got screwed at the end because I couldn't find any good guns anywhere. Super lucky, first fight in the final dungeon got an amazing gun that saved me. Still, master was definitely harder, but I didn't fear I was actually gonna lose, because I carried so many useful items that helped me on some annoying fights. I still had 3 sanctums and 4 lives after winning. I did lose a character a couple of times on master, mostly because I still take some stupid risks sometimes (some enemies just aren't worth fighting unless you have to, especially when they're in groups of 3 like 165+ hp ogres which smash you if you have low defense) and I really hate the scourge that destroys sanctums as she made me lose 2 more. I think that scourge is now my most hated one because you WILL lose at least 1 sanctum unless you can get to her before 1 or 2 turns are over... basically impossible to do unless it spawns next to you. Seriously that scourge is OP. All the other scourges you have recourse against - have no permanent effects on you long-term.

Dev's - any chance of a nerf to this scourge? I actually don't mind the destroy sanctum effect, that's fine. What I do mind is you have one freaking turn to destroy her. You should give us a few turns to take her out to give us a chance to kill her before she does any damage. I literally dropped everything I was doing, even used portal scrolls to get there quicker, and she killed not one but TWO sanctums. That's with me getting there in 2 turns too BTW.

This time I decided to experiment with hunter-hunter-minstrel. Worked pretty well also. I wanted to try out encourage. Encourage turns out to be quite helpful on single roll misses... but I did miss a lot of my focus from discipline.

Dragon was still a joke. Didn't even have to heal once. I got a few nice 200 HP damage hits in and it was over fast.

Oh I forgot one other thing. Since you have infinite time, I just camped out at a town with entertain and inspire and farmed exp and gold by just spamming end turn. I had one guy level 13 by the time I was done and max level pipe on all characters.

So the first thing you do when you perform necromantic arts on a dead thread is to be a belligerent jackass...

I'd insult you in many ways but honestly i got better things to do.
