DirectX 9?
What's the difference between playing 'normal' and DirectX 9 options given in the launch?

No idea. I once tried the directX one and it looked exactly the same ... including the available resolutions, iirc.

DirectX 9 is most likely for older PCs (or maybe some on board graphic cards don't support DX10+).
