Passive Skill Counter Strike

Picked this skill up with a weapon, in all the battles that I had it equipped, I never saw it go off once, is there a special set of circumstances that is required or am I missing something?

Landed here searching for the exact same information. I had guessed that when the character wielding the weapon dodged or blocked an attack, the counter attack would (sometimes?) happen. But so far, the character wielding it has both evaded and blocked incoming attacks and I've not seen a counter attack ever.

This is with the rare (purple) weapon Goblin Blade, with "Counter Attack" listed as one of its properties.

I have a character with a counter strike and I have not seen it proc either. Will keep an eye out for it to happen.

Thanks for the link. The ability name is not good in this case. "Hyper-awareness" or something similar would make more sense. I expect Counter-Attack to be a counter-attack to an attack in combat. I'm sure other do too. Good to know what it does in game now.

@Jay-Nic Good idea to change the name. It is quite confusing tbh :)
