Herbalist is very good

Trapper is... well the better option is the hunter.. but if ambushing enemies alot he might be an option.

Woodcutter is okay. His skill procs very rarely compared to others.

The Busker is pretty good

The hobo is mostly if you want a challenge. He has nothing special to him other than being the fastest STR character.

The Monk is just as op as the hunter if not even more. His skills party heal and discipline make him very handy. Compared to the hunter he‘s more useful in a party, whilst the hunter is probably the best character to fight on its own.
with the hunter bow or other awareness weapons? i always figured bow but ig i could use whatever uses that skill

It all comes down to how you like to play and how you prefer to handle your enemies. They all have strengths and weaknesses for particular party organizations and attack styles. Everyone is going to be a little bias toward different ones. From the original 3 I only use the blacksmith… I’m not much of a fan of the hunter, but a lot of people think he’s the best thing since sliced bread. I’ve 100% the game and so have they so all that says is there are different roads to the same end. Figure out which one you want to walk.

iv been playing with the herbalist, blacksmith, and bukser so far in this run and its been going pretty good. iv been getting hit hard and using a good chunk of godsbeard in dungeons sometimes but im getting good drops so i can keep up on the dps (recently found a mace that lets the blacksmith do 32 dmg at level 3 >.> and it doesent break and only 3 skill checks <3). i found a nice awareness chest and helmet for the herbalist but i have better mage gear so i just use a fire book but i have the other gear as backup if i know il need more melee dps or find a good awareness melee

btw any good tips on kitting out the busker? iv seen alot of posts saying use him as melee use him as mistrel etc etc iv just kept him on a lute cause idk what to do with em hes a good all rounder besides intel and eah awareness

I usually make my busker my healer, party buffer, gold mine, and my mule. In for the king anyone can be a healer with the pipe defuser or a number of other items. The thing is if you have to heal the party, your DPS drops so it's good to have a healer that can do other things like generate gold, remove poison/acid/mass slow etc. with restore, mass haste the party or reset/slow the enemy so I usually use a lute (which typically also has a gold multiplier on it). By buffing up your party you can typically double their DPS which makes up for the 3rd person reduced DPS. Buskers also have the added benefit of distract as a default skill which will save you more than once. Since buskers get perform for free gold outside of towns in the day, night markets at night, and dark carnivals whenever so long as its not raining they can really farm some gold with gold multiplier gear and the grand sanctum of wealth which also grants steal immunity so that all your precious herbs, magical orbs/pearls, and your tall stack of gold doesn't get taken by a thief. I basically just move the busker to one of those landmarks and keep him within party range and circle that area and wipe out all the monsters by moving my other two characters to engage and drag him into the battle while he sits there raking in the mula and just move across the map doing that from one landmark to the next. The busker can still put out some decent magic damage but I mainly depend on the other two characters to do the heavy lifting while he does all the support tasks. You could play him as a melee character. I have before… The rapier is pretty good and you can get it in act 2 most of the time. If its not in the golden plains then its likely in the bog or burning forest after act 2 starts. It has an armor piercing attack called precision stab and the ability to cast the reflect spell via riposte which can save him if he ever gets in trouble. It has 21 physical damage and gives you a +5 speed boost. It’s a three die performance sword. It’s not hard to get 95 perform with the dream armor set and 2 visits to a trainer for +2 talent each go. You could wear the amulet to skip the trainers but its nice to have that amulet slot for something like the golden ruff which gives you encourage (the minstrel skill) that helps you not fail rolls gives +4 evasion to every party member, +5% gold, and +5 luck. As far as lutes go, late game the devine lute, royal lute, and frost keytar are good.
