Frost Campaign in Master with a single hero [SPOILERS]

So yesterday I was watching OnlyRex stream:

And I saw that he was trying to do the Frost Campaign in Master with a single hero (Hobo). He had a lot of runs where he just got killed very early, the Hobos stick weapon breaks to easily, but once he got a weapon, he was actually able to do stuff. The trick was to have enough money each night to buy consumables at the Night Market.

He did this for a few in game days and achieved a lot of evasion, resistance and armor, but once he did the Tavern, then he had to go fight the scourge in the North or he would use his sanctum, which was really nice as he had poison and course immunity.

I told him not to do the Tavern as that would trigger next chapter in the run ...

So, I tried myself, and in my second run, my first quest reward, was a:

from that on, I could easily kill enemies and town heal for only 5 gold. I got the Sanctum of Haste, which ensured that I would always make it in time for the Night Market.

After 10 in game days, I reached LVL 7 and had about 45 evasion (items included) and some resistance + armor.

Then I decided to go to the North, but as easy it was to clear towns (the enemies ranges between LVL 2 - 4) I had a really struggle with the rest as the game actually scales with the hero. So even though I was LVL up, I didn't have the gear of the money to buy items to match my LVL.

I saved the game and will probably try to get good gear on the Hobo and try to see if I can do it with this "exploit" :)

But is there any possibility to do any of the Campaigns in "Forever Alone" mode?

I met the final boss and I had it down to only 21. It killed me :(

I'm just a bit disappointed that no achievement was unlocked :(

Maybe the devs thought nobody would be able to do the FA in solo :D :D :D

Gj, yeah i saw no point in doing it but wiht the expliot froest is pretty doable alone :D

maybe can do other onnes also if you can survive the 3 chaos and farm up to get better stuff but that's gona be way too much of an try hard then playing the game xd

Yeah, it's doable, but remember it's FTK, so if you go to greedy, you are done. The run before this one, I had some really nice gear, then I decided well let's try to do an encounter (5 INT rolls) and when I missed almost all rolls, I met a LVL 7 Fire Priest, I was only LVL 3. The first blast with the staff and all my health was gone (+30 - 40 DMG) and GG.

A little tip, everytime I went to the Night Market and bought a Treasure Map, I didn't use it until after the Tavern fight. At that point, you will actually get gear/money that matches your LVL. So with a LVL 7 I got a lot of gold, but specially the shiny Enchanted Plate Mail (+15 Armor and +8 Resistance and +1 Max focus). Thanks to that, I didn't have any problems in the north ;)

With regard of Dungeon Crawl / FTK, I don't know if this is doable. Full Chaos would maybe to annoying? Might give it a try :)
