Question on ports and boats...

So, I just bought a ship at a port for 150g. Now, since the game specifically says you buy a "deed" for a boat, and not the boat itself, and the tooltip says you can "procure or LAUNCH a boat from the port", so I assumed paying once was enough to unlock ports as a means of transportation. Needless to say I was a bit annoyed when the next port asked me to pay 150g again! Am I missing something? There is a 30 gold cost on the port's icon, but it's greyed out and unclickable, so it doesn't even seem to be a "relaunch" fee.

soooo.. basicly you buy a boat at a port of your choice. Obviously if you want a second one it'll cost you again. pay once, get one. makes sense..
the gold cost icon is the cost of how much it is to repair your ship (greyed out when your ship is at full health). The ship may be damaged whilst sailing through rough currents or even when encountering the mighty... dramatic pause... the mighty Kraken D:

... and how do i even buy a boat? ... first the price was `300 for deed [does that make a boat?], but i didnt go to see then. Now that i need to cross the see , the cost is 1200!!!!... that is absurd crazy insane bs nonsense .... to make things worse i used all portal scrolls in the swamp, cuz movement there is another absurd nonsense ... now i cant move acros the water to next area ...

Buying a deed will indeed get you a boat. It spawns next to the port. The price is just like everything else in the game, it scales based on your characters' level.

... allright, but scallign is crazy insane - none of my characters have anything near 1/3 of that price ... no skills to improve trade ratios, no banking or smth. just not enough money to buy even herbs ... and thats on easiest difficuty ...

The boat is the biggest gold sink in the game for sure. But once you have one money starts flowing in and you'll never need it again.

Tip of the day: Buy a boat ASAP. This will both help your economy, but mostly your movement around the map, specially because you move as a group and therefore you move thrice as fast !!!

I‘d consider that tip of the month even. Boats get extremely expensive very quick. Buy them when you‘re floating gold (pun intended) even if you don’t need them yet.

Restart your game. Or, use a vision scroll to find the alluring pool in another zone. Or use a TP or Portal scroll.

Also, please note when you are done with your boat at one port, you need to reclaim it - that's an option in the port menu - so you can relaunch it from another port. You don't have to just leave it floating at the port you left it.
