Worth it for a solo player?

The game looks really interesting and ticks a lot of boxes I traditionally love, but many of the reviews that talk up the game mention how fun it is with friends.

I'd probably be playing it by myself 99% of the time (few friends who share my love of roguelikes :)) so would it be worth the buy for a solo player, or is the multiplayer what makes the game?

Solo player is fantastic. It's a lot easier to co-ordinate the characters when you're in control of all three of them, and for the best advantage you are going to want good co-ordination.
I've never played it three player, but two player with one character each is quite a different experience, and more of a challenge but still fun.

I played it solo and won the game in my second run without any lore unlocks! It's certainly a lot of fun playing solo as well and very addictive (I have worked from home all 3 days of this week :p)

I find it's a lot more fun to play with friends (preferably a full 3 person party) but it's still a solid solo experience
