It's true, that if you're playing on a higher difficulty, you'll have to take on more chaos reduction quests than normally. Note that having less chaos on the timeline also gives you more time to fight random enemies to gather gold.
mostly stick to the storyline since that will reduce chaos by itself. I'd do one out of two sidequests in Act 1 to reduce chaos and then a couple (quite a few actually) in Act 2, since you'll have to level up quickly and are forced to obtain better equipment very fast. The beginning phase of Act 2 is crucial. You just finished the first main quest and feel then as if the pressure is off. But that's actually the phase where you can make or brake a playthrough. Take on enough chaos quests in the beginning of Act 2 and maybe even use one or two tents to heal before and right after.
(Caves are a great way to gather gold and xp without losing turns. But it's also a risk if you enter unprepared...)
Elsewise, could you elaborate what your actions before were and where you got stuck?
Yeah, just got wiped again with a friend of mine cause of Chaos level although we struggled all match long to keep it under control,we can't seem to make it past hero level 3.
That's what i am doing,i just stick to the main quest and head straight to next objective area as i am level 2 and allowed, even taking a deep cave when possible. Thing is i feel like i'm given no quarter as right getting to Parid the timeline was: 1 free,1 scourge,1 chaos,3 free then 1 chaos,3 free then 1 chaos.
I took the quests to lower chaos but didn't make it there cause of 3 ambushes from the same chaos demon, destroyed a tower but 2 turnslater was up again and ultimately failed test at 80% and got wiped. If you can give me any insight cause i feel very lost at this point,1 chaos every 3 turns is kinda harsh.
My approach is usually to go to the Golden Plans asap. Maybe even using a portal scroll straight to parid to get the whole parte there in no time. The Guardian forrest‘s monster‘s reward is too little at this point.
So, reaching Parid as soon as possible. Open both chaos quests in the GoldenPlains. Pick up the usual Goblin fighters. They’re a good choice of fight at this point (stay away from Binosaurs/Triceclops). Don’t shy away from opening a tent before a chaos camp and resting after the fight. Use up focus in these chaos camps - they‘ll be taken away anyways.
Locate the forgotten cellar first. It‘s manageable even with level 3 if you have steal immunity. If you‘re able to find the Lucky Dearf, the Bandid King or the Sanctum of Fortune in the near future that would be great - they all give steal immunity.
With that you gain some time to catch up with level and gear.
Take easy fights but take on many fights. Fight as much as possible. Golblin camps are super rewarding with level 3-5. consider ambushing if else there would be too many bad guys in the area (worth a couple focus points).
Keep an eye on the town‘s equipmemt for sale (Parid & Cazeli‘s Watch). Note that there are more often weapon drops than Armor, shoe and hat drops.
You‘re looking for around 10-14 armor as soon as possible.
To get around quicker at the start of Act 2 I try to do the first pipelevel and use the movement grass (forgot the name). I buy them in Act 1 when they cost only 7gold each. I spend all my gold before entering the mines (good investment!). Also I sometimes use a teleport scroll (if for example you know that the forgotten cellar is in the burning forest and would otherwise take you 4 or 5 turns to get there).
Mostly it comes down to how you manage your gold and how you plan ahead.
Using a sanctum when a character needs a full-heal is a subtle thing but can save you 2 turns to get back to a town and money the heal back up.
Small tricks and quirks will help you immensly and you‘ll learn best what works and doesn‘t by just trying them out.
If you have the night market unlocked I like to wait in Act 1 for the night to check out what offers there are.
There are some extremely powerful early weapons. Or even strong items.
Rusty Chain: +1 Party armor, 30gold
Lucky clover: +20%gold multiplier, 25gold (! Amazing)
a dagger with inteligence with +5speed and pierce armor using the intelligence stat for some 17 gold (also useful way into act2)
And more...
A great way to buy in before entering the mines in act 1 (buy in and enter immediately (you can setup all gear after the first room in the mines (thats how you can spread up and use your gold well and sort gear and items quickly without having to spend turns gathering your party in one place again).
Those should be some useful guideline for the beginning.
What do you mean by line up? (English isn‘t my first languge, sorry.) party composition, tasks or like guidelines?
