There‘s also a game at the dark carnival called the wheel of death where you can also gain lives for the life pool.
And I‘m not 100% sure.. but I thought there was a rare random accuring event (often they are marked with a yellow questionmark) where you can also gail a live. Don’t know what it was called..
If your party members have been dead for some time the Queen will reveal a chaos generator for you.
Your characters aren't meant to die often during the adventure. In fact, I tend to never letting them die, since revivng them always comes with an extra effort.
If that's not doable for you, consider playing on easy where you're already starting with a big life pool.
I.e. not fun despite the game's many redeeming qualities.
It's like Risk of Rain but with a skill ceiling because of the luck mechanic.
