scourge's level

hey,
I've been playing this game a lot and its just great.
The one thing that always ruins a good run for me is the scourge's level.
I don't know when they level up so i can't plan ahead and many time they leveled up right before i fought them. Is it the day/night cycle? My character's levels? What makes the scourge level up.
help please!

As long as they are inactive, the scourge will level at the start of a day. So your best bet is to fight them late night when you're ahead

Jay-Nic, is there a cap to their level up? I took down a few scourge at level 9 10+ days into the adventure.

They cap at ten - and they take in to account the average party level when they increment but they'll always be higher while they are inactive (unless you power level between days
