And thanks for the help with the support
Thank you
the engine has some problems with overburden nviida cards and ending them in a grafic driver crash, hence the screen freeze, because windows isnt able to restart the driver in the game.
i have 2 unity engine games, and both do this to me as long i dont castrate my possible options to laughable ones. K2C i must play in Windowed mode.
in FtK even that dont work so i needed to downgrade the grafic options from 4k to full HD and the details from dream to low, and all checks unchecked in the games grafic options. that seems to hold the overburden the engine causes on the grafic card enove in check so it dont spirals up to 100% useage and sends the grafic driver instance to heaven. even on normal details the freeze comes sooner or later.
its a know problem, but the engine developers only ever phrase that there engine is the number one choise of designers and gamemakers, and that there is nothing wrong with it (some of there explanation in there own forum where the "real" problem is are more than laughable)
in redit i found a guy who sayed he got the problem handled by slowing down his gpu and grafic ram with msi afterburner. for me that also dont works, FtK still sends my grafic card in turbo mode (what is not even needed for games with triple the details and much more textureheavy grafics on my system in 4k, while useing TAA Mode on top)
my main reason to not buy FtK2,because i fear they use the engine there again. asked in the forum of FtK2 if they will use unity engine as well but only got the normal trolls there trying to dis me without providing info what engine the game will use. and like you sayed, its more than anoying when the engine ever crashes the grafic driver (and its a sorry truth that every game with this engine will shot down your driver, if you start experiance that problem)
