What effect is it?

Each combat has a certain radius where all players/enemies in that area might be added to the fight. This is highlighted with a red overlay when you see the fight, and is +2 radius for the forest starting area. (Plains is +3 radius, swamp is +1) Support combat ability allows a player to be included if they are adjacent to the combat area (basically extending how far players can be while still helping/supporting others). The ring has it, and it's found on all ranged weapons (bows, strings). You should keep this in the bag of a melee and equip if they would be otherwise be out of range of combat.

Try to be aware about how many enemies there is in the area. If you are lucky can you use a team of three adventures on a single monster.

this is where ambush is good. also sometimes mobs come in swarms. max enemies per fight is 3 so surrounding enemies won't help.

They really should make clear certain item and skill effects. I have no idea what some of them does and there's no way to check like this one.
