Dungeon escape possible
I wasn't able to escape a dungeon after losing 1 member. After fleeing I was able to revive the downed member, but the only option left to me after that was 'Explore Further'. So going back in with weakened characters.
Don't know if this is intended. But a Flee option is either not necessary, or could give me the option to go back to a safe place (with a penalty). Instead of throwing me back in.

You can only escape from dungeon if you approach a stair. That is when you ascend and leave the dungeon without being forced back in. If your member dies in a dungeon you can revive him after you beat the mob. So try to fight without running.

Ok, thanks for the answer. If you're overpowered it might mean you can't beat the mob and are stuck.

I feel it makes game really linear (like train run) and frustrating when you can't for example camp inside a dungeon to refresh your units until you have cleared a level as in most other RPG games and if you complete one level of the dungeon and exit dungeon to camp and you enter the dungeon directly after that the first floor is filled with mobs again!!!! Don't really know if that makes the game any fun or encourage you to quit the game. Also how you loot stuffs in multiplayer could be improved. Little better distribution of items would not hurt to have. It feels loot distribution could be less randomized. I would also like to be able to set in which order different characters move, so not the spell casters move first. However I like how the game looks like and it's quite fun to play but I feel some mechanism do so you want to stay away from the game instead of playing it. Maybe they could tune down the difficulty some.

I fleed from the final boss hoping to revive and then heal to go back and take another shot, but there was no chance to heal. I don't mind not being able to leave the dungeon, but it would be nice to be able to regear anduse items before going back for another fight.

I agree with the good Sirs above.

My journey ended in a dungeon, in front of a Crag with top defense.
My Blacksmith was equipped with a warhammer - a capable great sword was in Backpack...
I whished I could have walked out.

You can regear and use item. It before you press the "ready" button. That the only time you can heal up and get ready to fight.

If you are overwhelm and can't run and can't beat. Might as well as restart over and make better decision. Early game should focus on armor rather than weapon. Take advantage of sharing gold and focus in one character to buy.

If you are at a stairs in a dungeon how do you "leave" to go back to the surface?

This is an old thread, Devore. New systems do not allow you to leave the dungeon, but you can party heal with appropriate skills/characters or if you have a tinder pouch: can party rest.
