Enemies seem to be rolling a bit too perfect.
me and my friends have literally had to give up our game at level 9 and start again, mostly because we started this game before the new update came out and it was going quite well, before the current update the rolls were quite unfair but we had managed to survive, now with the current update and even on easy mode, its pretty much impossible to even clear dungeons.

with the current update, any enemies we come across 95% of the time now get perfect rolls and its....well, beyond a joke, ive never seen more perfect dice rolls ever, all the while we get absolute crap rolls and get whooped because of said perfect rolls

i know this is early access and i love the game, but, how can enemies have such perfect rolls? i honestly find it really unbalanced, its as if the rolls are not even randomized at all for enemies, its really frustrating, but also making me not want to play.

im not saying the game should be a walk in the park/cake walk, but enemies should not be rolling perfect rolls 95% of the time either when the rolls should be random.

has anyone else been having this problem?

As far as i know nothing changed with rolls i didn't notice it
and there was no mention of it in patch notes.
So yea thats RNG for you, sounds like you had an unlucky run.

thats the thing though, we closed and restarted the game 4 times and did the same dungeon again hoping for a different result and still all the same results

It depends on how the game does random numbers. Some games like X-Com save with a fixed seed and the results of any die rolls will be in the same sequence every time you load the save. Sounds like that may be the case here as well if you are seeing the same pattern of die rolls.

I didn't feel the difference in rolls, but i am sure update had more things than in the patch notes.

I think now the stats are shown on character selection screen, complexity levels re-named, some game screens redesigned (like initial story) and i felt some items might have been added (or maybe just got a couple of rare items for the first time in the last run - like Thieve's Armor or Spinner).

might indeed be the case, we will be starting a new game tonight so i guess i will see if we get the same problem.

if we get the same problem then that might be cause for a smidge of suspicion of whether they actually are random rolls
yap. i can guarantee there´s something wrong with the dice rolls. Enemy hits "perfect" a lot of times in a row. Initialy a thought they were using focus like the player does, but ok.. it doesnt last 5 turns.

Because the enemy dice rolls are super weighted. I got the game not long ago and just thought that was how the game was. Not to mention even if you roll good the enemies dodge your attacks 25% of the time.

All RNG discussions of the enemies rolls is all speculation until we can see or know the enemy attributes, equipment (and bonuses), and the attacking move info. I would also guess that as you increase difficulty those factors above get bigger or there may be a bonus to enemy rolls. Same kind of stuff that is done in many games.

Except they almost always roll perfect. People who play the game don't need to speculate, because we pretty much know over 75% of enemy attacks are perfect. Not to mention the insane dodge some enemies get without having evasion, where even if you finally roll good [4/5] they dodge almost every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.

The game is insanely weighted towards the enemies, where even if you're having the best playthrough you've ever had and all your characters have the best gear it's possible to get, the enemies can still kick your ass.

P.S: And is it not ridiculous how just about EVERY enemy gets to go before all of your guys except if you have a hunter in the party? No, of course the old hag wizard gets to go before all of my guys even though he can't walk without a cane.

I believe you just defined a rouge-like game to a tee. Good thing that's what we are playing.

To be fair, I've had my characters run some hot and cold streaks and I've seen the enemy do the same. I haven't really seen anything over the top and that's playing at the hardest level right now.
