"Connecting..." (probably some error)
I bought this game a couple of months ago, played it a few times scince then (everytime on PC, no VR) but didn't play it for like 2/3 months. Now I've bought a VR-Headset (Pico 4) and wanted to play the game again.

So I reinstalled it and booted it up... right after booting up, there is a screen that's telling me to press any button in order to connect to a controler or mouse+keyboard. I do that (left mouse for testing if the game works), after which it says "Connecting..." forever.

I can't do anything, press anything and so on (inside the game). After like 20 sec a button "cancel" appears. If clicked it reveals another screen telling me of some Connection error (I guess not related to server-connection or smth, but to Input device, like controller). Then I can try again, just to get into the same loop again.
I do however hear sound/music (also throughj the VR-Headset if connected and launched through SteamVR.)
All this happened both on PC (nonVR) and through SteamVR (with VR-Headset), didn't change a bit.

This was not solved by playing as admin, reinstalling, booting up through SteamVR or basically anything else.

I have also not found any other possible solution, that worked in any way.
Does anyone have another idea I could try or a working solution.
And am I the only one with this issue?

Would love to know, the game is a lot of fun.

Hey there Quablix,

i apologize for the delay in getting back to you and sorry to hear that you have been getting connection errors when trying to launch the game.

As for the VR Headset you mentioned, which you are trying to use (Pico 4) I checked this for you and can confirm that this Headset is not supported for the game. Only the Oculus and Vive are supported for the game, and we would not have any steps that we could provide on how to make the game run on the Pico 4 VR Headset.

As you have mentioned, however, that the connection error also appears when launching the game without VR (and you were able to play it), would you mind trying the following steps if the issue still persists for you:

1. Delete the Download Cache on Steam. That can help with certain issues.

2. Flush the DNS Cache:

3. Restart your PC and login to Steam. Once logged in, try to repair your storage folder as this can also help to resolve certain issues with game files that are damaged, missing or corrupted. On the Steam client, click on Settings >> Storage >> click on the 3 dots on the top right >> Repair Folder

4. Verify your game files:

Let us know if you have any further queries.
