Non-VR PC controls

Hey guys. I can't figure out for the life of me how to hop into another seat. Like say tactical to ops for instance. Not talking about solo, I'm talking about in an online game. Also I'm talking about using a mouse and keyboard with this game...on PC...non-vr style.

The other thing is, flying the original enterprise is virtually impossible because supposedly there is a button to show what button does what, but I have no idea what that is. So I just don't know what any of the buttons do.

maybe you have to be captain? I was able to jump from captain to tactical just with the mouse.
