Get within weapons range, hit them and then get out of range of their weapons before they have time to do any serious damage.
The phases in the aegis are more powerful then the galaxy. In fact a D5 is killed with 4 shots and a BoP with 8.
Aegis power settings are 5 phasers 4 engines. That way your maximum speed is 4000 Where you not increase your detection range. If you reroute engine power to phasers, you have 26km range in phasers and also increase the damage of the phasers by 30% which is more then the galaxy can deal.
You scan enemy ships for Shields and then use system intrusion to isolate their Shields and fire the 4 or 8 shots that will bypass enemy Shields and instantly destroy them without that you get ever spotted.
here a little display of combat action with the Aegis - now expect a full crew of palyers that can do that faster and smoother. Still, you'll never be able to kill enemies that fast with the Galaxy and despite of that, you'll never be able to do this stealthy.
Aegis deals more damage 26 vs 22.5 and has a better shield 7500 vs 5500 and on top is faster 7600 vs 5400
Galaxy can do percision fire while the Aegis bypasses shields
Galaxy can adapt shield frequency in a 1v1 combat while Aegis can disable enemy weapons
