How to have steam pop up non vr option?
I cannot launch Star Trek Bridge since it doesn't give me an option to launch non-vr option instead it launches completely VR mode. I don't use VR? How do I fix this? Steam support sucks and I wanna let steam know that this bug needs to be addressed? How am I supposed to play non vr and multi-player it it keeps opening full-on VR mode? I have tried everything and I am frustrated. Please help. I wish Steam Support would have live chat like EA Origin does but they lack HORRIBLE tech support. They seriously need better support and they lack that in that department. NO WONDER Steam support sucks badly.

When you hit play on your library, it should have the option: "Play Star Trek Bridge Crew", which should be under the Launch in VR option. You could also launch from UPlay, which will default to non-vr.

I can't seem to launch it via Uplay cuz it has a problem verifying the ownership of my game. Plus there is NO option telling me a pop up indicating that I want Non-VR mode. I WANT Non-VR mode and it's obviously Steam's end issue here. I have no clue how to contact tech support. I even had this game in Feb and I played for eight hours. Then I got frustrated the game won't work due to Mic issues so I deleted it and removed it from my account. Figured my headphones were horrible. So later in the future this month Sept. I have brand new different headphones and I assumed it would work. So I bought it again. Turns out I cannot play non-vr since there's no option. Also verifying my ownership. So I attempted to request a refund and it said I played more than 8 hours. How is that possible due to the fact that I recently launched the game and it won't start. I barely played it. I wanted my money back. Steam support lacks that area and their system interface sucks. I need to contact them and report this bug and see if they can fix this issue. I wanted my money back and it seems like a rip off how it says I played eight hours when it was purchased in Sept anyways? Weird.. any ideas on how I can make this work?

Apparently Steam Support sucks so bad they avoided the subject to the fact I mentioned Steam has a serious problem when it comes to notification pop-ups mentioning if I wanna play the game in Non-VR mode. It never pops up and ask me that. I know the rest of you guys do have that option which most gamers in forums mentioned so in previous forums I have read. I think Steam needs to seriously improve their tech support department badly. They are a million dollar industry but I really don't know how much they make but we really need live chat badly. Email isn't bad. Has anyone had a game that was recently purchased even though you have bought this game like several months ago and says you played the game for eight hours but you never did? I BARELY played it at all. It claimed I have played eight hours. That was in freaking Feb! I purchased this game in Sept. Feels like a rip off but I honestly think Steam has serious interface problems. Do you know where or who I can contact to make sure this bug can be fixed so the rest of you gamers don't have to go through this kind of crap? Especially the pop up-icon that needs to be addressed? Jeez! Steam is horrible since they have no live chat. I would love to sue their butts for having an lousy tech support lol.

As mentioned, the only way to get it to come up proper has been to launch it from your Library window, not via the pop-up shortcut or any other means (that I've known of). At that point, a box will come up asking if you want to play it in VR or non-VR.

If you don't launch it from it's page via the "PLAY" button on the Library window of the Steam application, it will default launch it as VR.

Not sure how else to help, it's possible you mistook it for some other way to launch, but if not, don't know. It is a little confusing, and would be nice if all options to launch the game provided the two options, but for now, this is it.

That's the problem I click on the library game and Click Play Star Trek Bridge and it doesn't pop up ANYTHING at all. It just loads it. Weird.. dunno what to do.
