Possible bug!?
I can see my friends from oculus ingame
but my friends from steam who are ingame, are shown online in the uplay client part of the game
thus preventing me from inviting them.
when looking in uplay client on pc all players are ingame, but from there there is no option to invite them.
Think we've been f**ked over again....... Another gaming community split.
Fingers crossed they will fix this.

it's a bug with private games only
On the other hand the game lets you invite/"join" UPlay friends that don't even own the game.
The 2 players who were able to invite/join were on Steam, they started a game and made it public. The other 2 players on Oculus used Quick Play to randomly join a room. With a bit of luck you end up on the correct one. If the Steam players receive another player, he/she sadly needs to be kicked. Rince/Repeat, until all 4 players are matched.
We had a blast! Game is awesome!

Additionally, they claim restarting the game works around the issue.
