How to tame a animal?

You make the deer food, then the deer lure, place it down near a deer, be far enough away to not spook it off but close enogh to see it, when it has a paw print marker above its head run to it and click on the marker to claim it.

As for adding a sledge to it I don't have a clue still trying to figure out how to add one to my deer. =(

You can select sled in your inventory and go to deer and "T" is available. It will put the sled on. But for some reason my character said in a while "will miss you <deername" and deer ran away. Ofcourse it forgot to unhook the sled and it had one mile long rope from standing sled to the deer.

Gotcha: paws on the left shows how much food is left for deer. Need to feed same food to deer so it stays.
