Lost Future

I have had a couple of runs where I have found the abandoned settlement in the Lost Future questline. Has anyone been able to "find out what is in the garage"? I have a radiation helmet and nothing seems to let me go into the basement...

I believe you're supposed to throw something down the hatch onto the waiting mutant. Not sure if it has to be a specific item or just throwing something in general.

I've tried throwing stones down the hatch and nothing happens. Something tells me you are trolling me. Either way, this is aggravating.

You need throw torch to basement and mutant will come, kill him and quest is done
