Generator Missing

I just got the game and started the quest "IRIS Flight 816". When I picked up the generator, it said I should find somewhere to put it but I can't find it anywhere, isn't in my inventory, could it be a bug or am I just completely clueless?

You can put it into the radio tower that's on the map.

Generators are count as questitems, so it's normal, that you don't see them in the main inventory. You can check on your quest items by pressing the N key and switching to quest items tab.

And as it's been said earlier, you need to use the generator on the radio terminal in the booth nearby. Just click on it and the generator will be applied automatically.

Hey!
I've been trying for a long time now to complete this quest, but the game just doesn't allow me to use the generator to power up the console. Just clicking the console tells me that I need a generator, but I have 4 of them! Can't drag them out from the quest-tab either (even tho the description of the generator says to drag/drop when using).

I've tried so much stuff, even reinstalling the game and trying to edit my save to make the radio tower active. Nothing works :(

Any help or do I have to restart the game fully? :(
