The Database Editor does not work!
I installed the stage and database editor properly on the same disk as the game but it still won't work, it says that "lang.xml" could not be found. Does anyone out there have the same problem or an idea how to fix it?

Check that 'Pro Cycling Manager 2017 – Stage and Database Editor' is correctly installed:

1. Run Steam and click LIBRARY then TOOLS.
2. Right click 'Pro Cycling Manager 2017 – Stage and Database Editor' then 'Properties'.
3. Click the tab 'LOCAL FILES' then click the button 'VERIFY INTEGRITY OF TOOL FILES...'.

I don't know if you already solved your topic, but I had the same problem but i fixed it. The problem is that the file: "lang.xml" is not in the right directory. On the error message is stated that it should be in your Users\..\AppData\Roaming\Pro Cycling Manager 2017\Config\ directory, but instead this file is in your DatabaseEditor directory. The problem is that you usually won't see the AppData directory in your Users map. But you can do this manually from your cmd:

lang.xml probably has this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2017 Database Editor and Stage Editor\DatabaseEditor\lang.xml

probably you can fix it by using this command:
copy "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2017 Database (you can press tab here)\DatabaseEditor\lang.xml" "C:\Users\yourProfile\AppData\Roaming\Pro Cycling Manager 2017\Config\"

This should probably work. If this doesn't work you have to find the directory of lang.xml yourself somewhere in the database directory and than copy it into the directory that's stated in the error message via your cmd

Hope this works

I got the same issue last night, but I think I know what the issue is. Was so late I just went to bed without testing it. Will try to fix it when I get home from work.

The editor and the game have to be installed in the same steam Library as they share some files.
I installed the game at D:\steamlibrary and the editor at E:\steamlibrary , when I did this with football manager 2018 I got the same kind of error coz the editor share some files with the game and therefor has to be installed in the same Library as the game.
