Training progression
CHOICE OF AXIS OF TRAINING

The choice of axis of training allows a rider's evolution to be directed over time.

C'MON!
Its completely RANDOM!
Ive trained as stage racer for 2 levels now, and not got single point on mountain or time trial.
Did however get +1 on both cobblestones and sprint...

Im now training as a sprinter, in hope of getting +2 on mountain and time trials...So help me god :p

Same happens with me. I had the plan to try and make an all-round type rider, but it appears to be impossible even though its realistic. I chose sprinter initially and then tried to bolster up my HILLS stat so i could become a specialist in those hilly classics, but nope... Kept getting stats in the more "sprinter" type stats.

They should open the Pro Cyclist mode up a bit and not pigeon hole us into one particular type of cyclist and allow us to build our own through progression.

you should make a backup from the save-file just before you get a lvl-up. then look at the stats you got and if you dont like it, load it and try again. it is random

As fare as I have seen, the things you gain numbers in, is a mix of what you have done doing races and what you train. So, being busy lvling up racing instead of training, will have a bigger effect on stats instead of what you train.

Correct me if someone knows for sure its not like that ;)
