Beta Branch Available

Hi everyone,

We are currently doing our best to fix the remaining crashes and blocking issues you may encounter.

We're working on a new update fixing the issues you reported since release, although it's not as fast as we'd want, due to the testing required before each patch.

That's why, we created a Steam Beta granting you an early access to the next update. Any testing and report done on this Steam branch will help us a lot to release the patch quicker for everyone.

How does it work?

• You have access to the version our QA team is working on. We will update the beta patch note in this thread throughout the testing process.
  
• Please keep in mind that the version you'll play is a beta - you're likely to encounter issues and bugs.
  
• Please note that the Beta branch does not allow you to play the Multiplayer mode. You will be able go back to the default version whenever you want.

How to join the Beta Test Group?

First of all, back-up your save files.

• Go to C:\Users\*your user name*\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2017
  
• Copy the following folders in a different place or save them in a .zip or .rar file:
  
  • Cloud
    
  • WeeklySaves

Then update to the PATCH BETA version

• On Steam, go to your Library and right-click on Pro Cycling Manager 2017.
  
• Go to Properties, then to Betas and select the following beta in the list:
  
  • beta_next_patch
• Confirm. You should have an update on your game. Once updated, you can play.
  
• You can go back to the default version at any time with the same process.

How to Report Issues with the Beta?

• Only report issues concerning the beta in THIS THREAD.
  
• Only report here issues you have encounter in the beta, not on the default version.

• Fixed issue with the race calendar in Pro Cyclist, forcing the rider to do every race his team has planned even if he’s not registered for it.
  
• Fixed issue with the CYA World Tour team points not being counted.
  
• Fixed issues with Russian characters in profile name.
  
• Fixed crash when clicking the on the Options button.

Not sure if these issues are related but i will list what i find playing this patch.

Gamemodus: Pro Cyclist
- Breakaway always seem to win in Pro Cyclist with strong wind on flat stages
- Teammates their fitness seems to be low and stay low after month 4
- Didn't encounter race calendar problem yet
- CWT team points looks fine

Superchill that the schedule is working. The flat stages ends mostly in a sprint. I have another "issue", in the more difficult stages (hills/mountains), the favorites of the stage win ride very passive. They never attack and it usually ends in a sprint of 20+ man. In Brabantse Pijl, there was a group of 30 renners and Zeits won. This should not be possible because Zeits has only 54 as stat for riding on cobblestones. The Amstel Gold race was totally a joke. We finished with a group of 104 man. Boara won this sprint against riders as Alaphillipe and Kwiatkowski which should not be happening.
This makes the goal to breakaway in the last 100 km nearly impossible because mostly you ride against the whole peloton. And if by any luck somebody reacts, he just sits in your wheel and says that it is not to him to ride. This happens even when the person is a big favorite and I'm not. Very rarely it happens that a favorite attacks early in the stage (not in the last 5/10 km) but there are always a lot of helpers who ride the gap close in a matter of no time. What I mean to say is that maybe the riders are to good or the stages not hard enough, the mountains and the cobbles does not make a difference between a favorite and a lesser rider.

The fitness bug still excist! Seems to me that the teammates don`t train at all, fitness stat at 50 in june till end. You can see it in the riders profile.

Whats that "Random fitness in the race" under the options menu? It´s active when you start the game, i deactivate it. Maybe thats the problem for the teammate A.I.?

Good day.
Finished testing the beta and updated the game and continued error while loading the game.

That is to say I select to load and I leave the game (crasheo) and I can not continue with the progress of my cyclist.
