Only VR?
Can you play the game, without a VR set? I dont have the money for VR yet :(

I am sure the price for entry level VR will continue to drop in the coming years.

That said I'm thinking about making a non VR isometric version of the game.
It's name would be Deisim : Flatist Edition. The saves would be compatible between VR and Flattist version and it would look like this : https://twitter.com/TMaloteaux/status/1262506742732206082

Store page to wishlist is coming soon.

No sorry the game is designed around the possibilities VR offer so it is not possible to play it without VR unfortunately.

Wow you are really cool man.
I hope VR hardware prices will continue to drop so you can play it quickly. I'm confident it will soon become affordable.

Until that I will do my best to allow you to have a good game when you finally will be able to play it. :)

I would love to make a large god game with VR and non VR support but unfortunately i'm a solo dev with not much resources so I have to stay realistic.

Feel free to bring your ideas here! :)

Heres one idea....... How about, you can make 2 people mary/fall in love with each other. You can place animals for diferent reasons. You can put monsters, where you want to limit people from traveling. Or maby, we could poses someone, and do good deeds/mischef ;)

is there anything anyone without an education in software development can do to help out?

The first way to help me is to make an honest review of the game on steam because most people overlook games with small reviews count or with a note less good than Very positive.

The second is to give me feedback about updates when i make them so i know if i'm going in the right direction and avoid spending too much time on the wrong one. Giving ideas is also something that can help.

Finally you can talk around you about the game. I'm not a marketing guy but i have to spend time on that too and the less I have to that the more time I have to really work on the game.

If you have experience, playing games like, "populous" "deos gracias" or "black and white", this is for you. And any suggestion is worth looking at, so go nuts ;)

I agree. There is no bad ideas only decisions to make the better ones. :)

I understand that this game is VR only to push the limits of what can be done in VR. With that said, and not asking any time from the developer here, is there any way to trick the game so that it registers mouse+keyboard input as VR input? Would a joystick be easier? Game looks awesome, but VR is also out of my price range probably for the next year or so.

There is no way to emulate VR for now. I tried a solution to emulate it but it was very disappointing. :(

The Oculus Rift + Touch price dropped a lot since the release of the game (450€ currently) and I hope VR will continue to be more affordable until the final release of the game.

I do my best to allow the maximum of players to be able to enjoy Deisim like working on performance and accessibility for example. If one day I think mobile VR will be able to handle Deisim i will do what I can to support it too.

what about a multiplayer that runs on a dedicated server on the host's computer.

P.S. a dedicated server turns your computer into a temporary host for connections for games such as SCP:SL, Gmod, TF2, ETC.

Sorry but there is no multiplayer in the game and it will never be the case since multiplayer games require a very different architecture than solo games.
